Originally, we had figured on using our XRGB2 units as our video conversion board for the Apple //gs to LCD go between. However, since an announcement in the comp.sys.apple2 group this morning announcing that the Ambery Converters work with the IIgs, we have decided to use the circuit boards from them in our prototypes.
At this point, this is one less major hurdle we have to cover due to the fact that the Ambery unit only pulls 5V. The XRGB2's are 13.8V and thus would have required much more than just a bit of wiring.
Also with this change, we gain a bit more space internally and may be able to have another slot or another item such as CD-ROM unit in the machines.
More to come on these changes as we implement them.
